The Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park hosted a launch and tasting party and industry roundtable Tuesday at the school's Marriott Pavilion to celebrate 'Support the Craft - Drink NY' and Fall 2016 Hudson Valley Restaurant Week.
The networking marketplace offered samples of award-winning craft beverages, local wines, spirits and ciders, as well as cheeses, meats and more.
The event also included an industry roundtable discussion that included Gregory Best, Bartender and Restaurateur, Atlanta, GA (Poughkeepsie native and nationally acclaimed); Hutch Kugemen, Head Brewer, The Brewery at the Culinary Institute of America; Douglass Miller, Lecture Instructor, School of Hotel Administration at Cornell University; Robert Mitchell, Vice President, Craft, Wine and Spirits, Manhattan Beer Distributors; Commissioner Richard A. Ball, NYS Department of Agriculture and Markets, and Janet Crawshaw, Publisher of The Valley Table and Founder of Hudson Valley Restaurant Week.
